Precision Injection Molding Inc located in Langley, BC is looking for an Injection Molding Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
Requirements
Education and Experience: Some secondary school is usually preferred. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in an injection molding plant.
Number of positions available: 1
Start date: as soon as possible
Benefits: Dental , Extend Health Medical etc.
Salary: $37.5 /hr
Hours per week: 40 hours
Shift: Afternoon
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of production workers
2. Plan operator shift schedules, break times, and ensure continuous line coverage to meet production requirements
3. Ensure effective handover between teams to maintain operational continuity
4. Monitor employee attendance, performance, and workflow to ensure smooth production with minimal downtime
5. Communicate production targets, shift updates, priorities, operational issues clearly to workers and management
6. Establish production methods, production priorities and workflow plans to meet daily and weekly production schedules
7. Plan and coordinate production activities with machine operators to optimize efficiency and output
8. Prioritize mold-change operations and machine setups to align with production planning requirements
9. Coordinate production schedules with maintenance, quality assurance, and safety departments to ensure uninterrupted operations
10. Manage shift shutdowns and participate in overall shutdown planning to ensure controlled and efficient restarts
11. Identify and resolve production and workflow issues that could negatively impact output, quality or delivery timelines
12. Investigate equipment and process-related issues and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimize downtime
13. Implement corrective actions when quality issues are identified to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
14. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, yield, delivery, productivity and cost control
15. Provide technical supervision and support to operators during machin adjustments, setups, and installations
16. Support troubleshooting and equipment setup decisions
17. Oversee mold stripping, cleaning, and preparation activities to ensure readiness for production runs
18. Coordinate machine installations, relocations, and production line changes in collaboration with maintenance teams
19. Liaised with maintenance staff to ensure equipment  malfunctions were addressed prompt and effectively
20. Manage maintenance coordination and inventory control for electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components required for production
21. Ensure availability of required materials, tools and spare parts to prevent production delays
22. Train new employees on job duties, production processes, and safety procedures and monitor their performance
23. Assisted management in evaluating employee performance
24. Monitor product quality through production to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
25. Communicate production performance, operational issues and shift outcomes to management
